Abstract During the last decade there is an increasing awareness towards sustainable construction solutions. The reason of this shift that sector contributes to approximately 40 % global output CO2 emissions, thus making it essential act in lowering high amount. A key aspect successful implementation solutions use materials can be 100% recycled, such as steel, and come from renewable sources, timber. Therefore, interest using steel‐timber composite (STC) elements connections has grown since they provide a robust alternative technique traditional ones. aim paper investigate structural performance bolted STC shear connection finite element analysis. under study consists two dahurian larch glulam are flanges H‐profile steel by means four M6 bolts for each timber component. numerical model been validated results experimental where pull‐out test same performed [1]. Overall, have shown good accuracy. bolt failure occurred when 47.5 kN force had applied. This amount load about 12% less than found experiment. slip equal 5.4 mm whereas measured experiment 7.5 mm. In addition, mode developed governed formation hinges on which coincides one. To sum up, managed capture great extent presented findings.
